PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece capable of operating hands with rich expression while facilitating the setting of operation control, an electronic timepiece system, and a method of controlling an electronic timepiece.SOLUTION: Hands 34, 36, and 38 are rotation-driven along a display plate. Driving portions drive the hands 34, 36, and 38. An obtaining portion 48 obtains commands for controlling the hands 34, 36, and 38 regardless of time.
