Hyaluronan composition and its use in the treatment of interstitial cystitis

A hydrogel composition for the treatment of interstitial cystitis is described, comprising crosslinked hyaluronan particles dispersed throughout a crosslinked hyaluronan hydrogel matrix, wherein hyaluronan is a high molecular weight hyaluronan. The composition is formulated for direct bladder instillation into humans. Hyaluronan particles are nano-sized hyaluronan particles, or aggregates of nano-sized hyaluronan particles, or mixtures thereof. [Selection] Figure 2
