PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft grounding device and a rotary machine having the same, which can reduce the exchange frequency of a ground brush.SOLUTION: The shaft grounding device for grounding the shaft of the rotary machine includes: a ground brush which includes a multiplicity of conductive bristle materials, contacting to the outer surface of the shaft; and a fixing metal fitting having the multiplicity of bristle materials fixed thereon; a brush holder for holding the fixing metal fitting, including an interval adjustment mechanism, which changes an interval from the shaft outer surface to the metal fitting, and a direction adjustment mechanism which adjusts the extension direction of the multiplicity of bristle materials from the metal fitting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
