PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous type secondary battery that has an excellent input/output characteristic even under a low temperature.SOLUTION: In a carbon material for a nonaqueous type secondary battery negative electrode containing composite particles (A) having circularity of 0.940 or more and composite particles (B) having circularity of less than 0.940, the composite particles (A) and the composite particles (B) are composite particles of graphite particles (D), carbonaceous particles (E) and carbonaceous material (F). The carbon material for the nonaqueous secondary battery negative electrode is used as a negative electrode active material for a nonaqueous type secondary battery, whereby the input/output characteristic at a low temperature of the nonaqueous type secondary battery can be greatly improved.SELECTED DRAWING: None
