This training apparatus (10) for recovery of a paralyzed function is provided with: a servo motor (21) for applying force from the outside to a paralyzed region of a patient and inducing passive movement; a servo motor (21) with which it is possible to apply resistance force to a paralyzed region of the patient in order to induce movement of the paralyzed region through intentional exertion by the patient; and a stimulus presentation means (72) for imparting a stimulus to alert the patient of the timing for exertion.
