PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid rotor induction motor capable of enhancing the efficiency by reducing copper loss in the winding on the stator side, while reducing windage loss, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: A solid rotor induction motor 1 includes: a stator 10 having a cylindrical stator core 11 where the inner peripheral surface 11a is formed cylindrically and multiple windings 14 wound, respectively, around multiple teeth 13 provided in the stator core 11; and a rotor 20 which includes a rotor core 21 arranged rotatably on the inner peripheral side of the stator core 11, the rotor core being consisting of a cylindrical solid core having an outer peripheral surface 21a formed cylindrically, and a shaft 3 fixed to the rotor core 21. The rotor core 21 includes a non-magnetic part 22 extending in the axial direction of the rotor core 21 at a part of the outer periphery, while keeping the outer peripheral surface 21a cylindrically.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
