To provide a stave for cooling a furnace body of a metallurgical furnace that is a stave for cooling a furnace body used for cooling an iron shell of a furnace body of a metallurgical furnace (for instance, blast furnace), which reduces an unevenly distributed stress and a local stress generated caused by existence of a beam part, suppresses deformation of the stave, and can improve a service life of the stave.SOLUTION: A stave for cooling a furnace body of a metallurgical furnace that is a stave for cooling a furnace body used for cooling a furnace body of a metallurgical furnace includes a stave body having a beam shape and corresponding to a stand of a beam, and a plurality of beam parts which correspond to teeth of the beam, project from the stave body and extend in a horizontal direction, where each of the beam parts has slits that divides the beam parts in a horizontal direction, and the slits are arranged linearly in a vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
