A scaffolding material for stem cell culture containing a synthetic resin, wherein the nitrogen content of the synthetic resin is 0.1% by mass or more and 10% by mass or less. This scaffold material for culturing stem cells has appropriate hydrophilicity and strength, has high fixability after seeding of stem cells, and is capable of highly efficient cell growth.
