To accurately and rapidly calculate the contents of polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, and polyethylene terephthalate contained in a measurement target material processed from plastic waste.SOLUTION: The method for measurement acquires the absorption spectrum of a transmissive infrared light or a reflected infrared light of a measurement target object, and measures the content of four types of materials in the measurement target material on the basis of the absorbance at plural predetermined wavelengths in the acquired absorption spectrum and basic information on the relation between the content of four materials of polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, and polyethylene terephthalate and absorbance in the absorption spectrum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
