PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more efficiently create an orthographic variant dictionary for determining an orthographic variant with high accuracy even if an exception contrary to determination criteria of a general orthographic variant exists in a document.SOLUTION: An orthographic variant dictionary creation support device comprises: compound word extraction means which extracts a compound word being the alignment of prescribed parts of speech from a morpheme string; determination input means which inputs a determination result by human beings on whether or not one compound word is an orthographic variant of another compound word in a specified pair of compound words; and orthographic variant determination rule registration means which creates an orthographic variant determination rule including object information for specifying the pair of compound words for specifying an application object, and determination information for indicating whether or not the application object is an orthographic variant, on the basis of the determination result, and registers it with an orthographic variant dictionary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
