To provide a manufacturing method of cobalt chloride solution capable of manufacturing a cobalt chloride solution with low nickel concentration by reducing entrainment in an organic after extraction in a method of solvent extraction of cobalt from a nickel chloride solution containing cobalt by an organic solvent consisting of an amine-based extractant and a diluent.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a low Ni concentration cobalt chloride solution for solvent-extracting cobalt using an organic solvent consisting of an amine-based extractant and a diluent from a nickel chloride solution containing cobalt by using a countercurrent multistage type extraction device to produce the cobalt chloride solution, in which pH of an extraction initiation liquid is set at 0.2 to 1.1 by adding pH adjustment agent to the extraction initiation liquid in an extraction step in a solvent extraction method including 3 treatments of (1) the extraction step, (2) a cleaning step, and (3) a reverse extraction step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
