To provide a method of identifying a cell having an intracellular concentration of a particular metabolite that is increased compared with the wild type of the cell.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a cell that is genetically modified compared with the wild type thereof, comprising a gene sequence coding a recombinase not present in the wild type and furthermore a gene sequence coding a metabolite sensor, and a method of identification thereof, where the modification of the cell being achieved by recombineering. The invention also relates to a method of producing a production cell that is genetically modified compared with the wild type of the cell and has optimized production of a particular metabolite, to a method of producing the metabolite, and to nucleic acids suited therefor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
