The present invention relates to hydroxychloroquine analogues having an activity superior to that of hydroxychloroquine but free from retinal cytotoxicity of formula (I), their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates or hydrates:; their method of preparation and their use in the treatment of lupus erythematosus.
