The present invention discloses a fluorescent probe for detecting a sulfenated protein, having the following structural general formula (I). The fluorescent probe has good stability and can be preserved for long-term use. The fluorescent probe is highly sensitive to its environment, having no strong fluorescence in a hydrophilic environment, and producing strong fluorescence only after reaction with a sulfenated protein such that a fluorophore is in a hydrophobic environment in the protein structure, and thus is able to develop in situ in cells the sulfhydryl sulfenated protein. Furthermore, the fluorescent probe has good water solubility and a relatively large absorption-emission wavelength difference, and can be paired with a tryptophan residue in a protein to produce a fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) effect in an extracellular buffer solution detection system, effectively avoiding interference of excitation light and emitted light in protein samples. The fluorescent probe can specifically quantitatively detect a sulfenated protein in complex biological samples, and has a good detection ability of signal-to-noise ratios, is highly sensitive, and has excellent selectivity, thereby realizing specific detection of sulfhydryl sulfenation modification of intracellular proteins.; embedded image
