In some embodiments, an insufflator assembly may comprise a first port fluidly coupled with and configured to provide access to ambient air, a gas pump fluidly coupled with the first port, and a second port configured to deliver pressurized ambient air generated from the gas pump for delivery to a patient. The assembly may further comprise a battery configured to provide a portable energy source for delivery of electrical energy to the gas pump.
