the present invention patent relates to effervescent granules based on libidibia ferrea, for antidiabetic treatment. this formulation contains, as excipients, polyvinylpyrrolidone (pvp) k-30, citric acid, tartaric acid, sodium bicarbonate, sucralose and distilled water. to obtain the dry extract of l. ferrea, the infusion technique was used, followed by lyophilization. the granulate was manipulated using the wet granulation process, showing good solubility and stability. it is an innovative, efficient and low cost formulation, intended for alternative anti-diabetic treatment.
