The present invention focused on analyzing the antioxidant activity of the bark extracts from the stem of Croton cajucara BENTH, where it was necessary to have a solution of the chromophore DPPH 0.06 mM, mother solution of the tests, which contained 20 mg / 1 mL of ethanol. The absorbance reading was performed on a spectrophotometer, at 570 nm, at 0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. To obtain the samples, a conventional extraction was carried out using a jacketed extractor with a mechanical stirrer coupled to a thermostatic circulation bath. In this, the temperatures of 50 ° C and 60 ° C were applied. In the end, it was observed that the highest antioxidant values came from extractions with high temperatures.
