According to one aspect, there is provided a training device for use in an inhaler, the training device comprising a body which is configured to be received in a first position in an inhaler compartment, the body comprising an interface. arranged to connect to a tube interface in the inhaler housing; an electrical circuit configured to perform one or more functions; and a circuit drive mechanism comprising a switch for activating the electrical circuit to perform one or more functions when the switch is closed, the circuit drive mechanism being configured such that the switch is closed when the body is pressed from the first position toward the tube interface and into a second position within the inhaler housing.
