the present invention relates to a dual pump unit (101) which has a pair of pumps that provide parallel hydraulic paths and are configured to operate concurrently in opposite rotational directions. the double pump unit (101) has a sealed case that includes a suction flange (124), two volutes in hydraulically parallel configuration and a discharge flange (126). the pump pair is located within a respective volute of the case and, in one example, these pumps are in a radial and horizontal line. the case may include a flat bottom. each pump can include a touchscreen (120) for configuring the respective pump. the pumps are controllable to circulate a circulating medium to collectively provide an outlet to obtain a load.
