METHOD FOR EVALUATING THE EFFICACY OF AN ANTIPERSPIRANT WITHOUT AMINE

A method is provided to assess the effectiveness of an amine-free antiperspirant. the method comprises (a) placing a tissue in contact with the sweaty skin, in which sweat is formed on the skin with the antiperspirant in it, whereby sweat is transferred from the skin to the tissue, (b) placing the tissue from step ( a) in contact with an effective amount of a solution to generate a purple color in the fabric, where the solution comprises ninhydrin and a solvent, whereby a purple color is generated in the fabric and (c) determine an intensity of the purple color in the fabric , in which a high intensity of the purple color indicates a low effectiveness of the antiperspirant.
