reinforcing members for reflectors used in the solar energy concentration apparatus, and the method for constructing the same the present invention relates to a solar collector system that includes a plurality of reflectors. each reflector has a reinforcement rib (60a) associated with it and is fixed to it on one side with its back to the sun. at least one area on each reinforcement rib is suitable to accommodate a polymer-based adhesive for attaching the rib to one side of the associated reflector with its back to the soi. each reinforcement rib is formed so as to substantially match a contour of the associated reflector. at least two of the rib, associated reflector, and adhesive have respective coefficients of thermal expansion around 50% of each other. each reinforcement rib is dimensioned and positioned on the associated reflector in order to increase its el value by at least 10 times or at least around 9,180 meters4 pascal. methods of manufacturing them are also provided.
