instrument for reducing pain during administration by injection of a liquid an instrument, article and method are made available to minimize pain during administration by injection of a liquid, such as an anesthetic. the instrument has a front end. a freely mounted light tube for vibration protrudes out of the front end. the article, a single-use tip, consists of a tip sleeve, removably mounted on the front end of the instrument, and a tip member, removably mounted on the protruding light tube, to vibrate an injection site, previously selected on a human or animal. the tip glove and the tip member are covered by an elastic cover coating, which allows the tip member to vibrate freely with respect to the tip glove and the light from the light tube to illuminate the injection site. a vibration unit mounted on the instrument is attached to the light tube. the method is carried out by transmitting vibrations and lighting through the light tube to the tip member.
