This invention is directed at cross-linked multi-partition cation exchange polymers containing fluoride group and acid group,pharmaceutical compositions of these polymers,compositions of a linear polyol and a salt of such a polymer. Occasionally linked multi-partition variant with beneficial physical properties,including particle size combinations,particle shape,particle size distribution,viscous,limit of flexibility,compressibility,surface morphology,and/or an increase ratio are also described. These polymers and compounds are useful to bind potassium to the gastrointestinal tract.
