A method of preparing a gel type polymer electrolyte for a lithium-sulphur battery

The process for preparing a polymer-type gel-type electrolyte based on polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate (PEGDMA) consists in first preparing films of PEGDMA and butyl methacrylate (BMA) by a photoinitiated crosslinking reaction. It is then soaked in an electrolytic solution of lithium bis-trifluoromethane sulfonimide salt (LiTFSI), in which silica nanoparticles (SiO) are dispersed in the BMA before mixing the mixture of PEGDMA with the photoinitiator and BMA.
