The invention relates to the field of sanitation and hygiene, and in particular to means for disinfecting and improving the organoleptic properties of various types of water: drinking, swimming pools, sewage, etc. Hydrogen peroxide is additionally introduced into the complex reagent for disinfecting and improving the organoleptic properties of water, including polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride (PHMG-GC) and alkylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride (ABDAH) as components. The ratio of the components that make up the reagent is in wt.%: PHMG-GC - 0.05-1.0, ABDAC - 0.005-1.0, hydrogen peroxide - 0.05-20.0, water - the rest . The invention provides not only a stable and reliable degree of water disinfection according to normalized microbiological and parasitological parameters, but also helps to improve its organoleptic characteristics.
