The invention relates to the chemical pharmaceutical and medical industries, specifically to agents having the ability to slow down tumor growth and suppress the processes of neoplasm metastasis, namely to a new antitumor agent, a derivative of 5-hydroxypyrimidine: 2-isobutyl-4,6-dimethyl-5- hydrochloride oxypyrimidine (SNK-578) and its use as an agent with antitumor, antimetastatic activity, as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic effect. 5-hydroxypyrimidine derivative: 2-isobutyl-4,6-dimethyl-5-hydroxypyrimidine hydrochloride is obtained by reacting 2-isobutyl-4,6-dimethyl-5-hydroxyprimidine in dry acetone with a saturated solution of hydrogen chloride in dioxane. Derivative of 5-hydroxypyrimidine: 2-isobutyl-4,6-dimethyl-5-hydroxypyrimidine hydrochloride expands the arsenal of agents for treating cancer with pronounced antitumor, antimetastatic activity and at the same time anti-inflammatory and antiallergenic effect. The invention provides an increase in antitumor activity and can be used as an independent antitumor agent and at the same time increase the effectiveness of the cytostatic treatment of cancer patients. The invention is suitable for use as an antitumor agent for adjuvant immunotherapy, with pronounced antimetastatic activity, as well as a prophylactic agent in the treatment of seasonal pollinosis. The new tool is free from unwanted side effects inherent in fluorinated pyrimidines and anthracycline antibiotics.
