摘要

The invention relates to the field of biology and medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to diagnose prostate cancer (PCa). To do this, use a new marker of prostate cancer, detected in the patient’s whole urine, which is an integrin alpha V or its fragment. A method for diagnosing prostate cancer is also provided, including detecting integrin alpha V in a patient’s whole urine and a diagnostic kit comprising at least one antibody specific for integrin alpha V, or a functional fragment thereof. The invention allows for non-invasive diagnosis of prostate cancer using a simple, sensitive, reliable method, applicable in a standard clinical laboratory of clinical or outpatient medical institutions.
