An inkjet device is proposed, as well as systems and methods that use an inkjet device for manufacturing objects by means of additive technology, especially objects from titanium and titanium alloys. The inkjet device directs the flow of cooling gas across the well of the melt or the flow of cooling gas enters the well of the melt, or enters the hardened material located near the boundary of the liquid and solid phases of the melt well, or enters the freshly hardened material, or any combination of these places during the additive process manufacture of the product. The use of cooling gas can lead to the fact that the product manufactured by additive technology will have an optimized grain structure with a large proportion of grains that are approximately equiaxial, and the resulting products will show increased strength, fatigue resistance and durability.
