The aim of the present invention is the provision of compositions containing vegetable oils and an antioxidant system to prevent the oxidation of triglycerides in vegetable oil in food products, in particular in products that are often stored for a long time. The antioxidant system should not impart an undesirable color and undesirable taste to the food composition. In addition, it should be a natural compound and / or a common food ingredient and should correspond to the food composition in terms of taste and color. This was achieved by providing a food composition containing vegetable oil, the composition containing a source of organic acids, one or more organic acids other than acetic acid, an amino acid, and one or more phenolic compounds. More specifically, the source of organic acids contains organic acids other than acetic acid to the total content of organic acids in the source of organic acids in a mass ratio of from 0.5 to 60%; and the mass ratio of one or more amino acids to the total content of organic acids in the source of organic acid is from 0.03 to 20%.
