The invention relates to genetic engineering technology, in particular to a homologous recombination empty vector of D. salina chloroplast and its application. The vector includes a promoter and a terminator. The recombinant empty vector contains an upstream homology arm of the base sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 1 and a downstream homology arm of the base sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 2.
