The invention relates to the processing of activated sludge in wastewater treatment plants using vermiculture. The invention relates to an apparatus for composting comprising a frame (2), a cylindrical body (1) with end closers (7) and a plastic lid, a horizontal filter plate (3) with integral heating elements (6) below which an air duct with aerators is located (10), damper (11), wing (12) with compost discharger (15) and actuator (13)  located above the filter plate (3), water inlet (8) located at the top of the body, and outlet (9) - bottom in addition, the flushing water outlet (14) is installed in the cylindrical body below the water inlet.
