USEFUL EQUIBIOTIC COMPOSITIONS IN THE REVERSION OF THE MICROBIAL RESISTANCE TO ANTIBIOTICS.

The present disclosure is related to pharmaceutical compositions comprising standardized plants extracts with antimicrobial activity. For example, equibiotic mixtures of extracts from Psidium guajava L. and Coptis chinensis, or even Magnolia officinalis. Useful for reversing the resistance of microorganisms to substances with antimicrobial activity, such as antibiotics, where said microorganisms comprise those that cause the disease. The compositions described, reverse the microbial resistance to antibiotics that is observed, for example, in resistant bacterial strains, such that said microorganisms show a high sensitivity phenotype to the antibiotic to which initially, they were resistant because of their exposure to such compositions. The compositions described allow the use of antibiotics considered obsolete due to their lack of antimicrobial efficiency against resistant microorganisms, thus providing therapeutic alternatives for the treatment of diseases of difficult treatment caused by said resistant microorganisms.
