CATHODIC ELECTROPHORETIC COATING (E-COAT) OF EPOXIC PAINT WITH TIO2 NANOPARTICLES, ITS APPLICATION, AND USE.

The present invention relates to a cathodic electrophoretic coating (e-coat) of epoxy paint with the addition of TiO2 nanoparticles, improved anti-corrosive properties, and its applications in the automotive and aeronautical industry. It consists of the addition of 1g/L of TiO2 nanoparticles to the e-coat bath, setting parameters at a voltage of 140V therein; and 200°C in 15minutes of oven curing to obtain coating thicknesses between 25Ám to 35Ám. The superficial and transverse morphology obtained by MEB has a continuous, compact, and adherent coating. The hardness of the coating is 3B and the adhesion of 5B before exposure in the saline chamber.
