A pick-up device for picking up articles from the tobacco processing industry for a conveying devce for conveying articles having an object capable of moving along a conveying direction. The outer side face of the object is provided with at least one suction opening. The pick-up device is provided with at least one pick-up element having an outer side face and internal side face which are used for picking up at least one article, and the pick-up device is provided with at least one connection channal. The at least one pickup element is provided with a first type engaging mechanism and a second type engaging mechanism, the first type engaging mechanism is provided with a special shape, and the second type engaging mechanism is provided with a shape substantially complements the shape of the first type engaging mechanism. The first type engaging mechanism detachably engages with the second type engaging mechanism positioned on an adjacent prick-up element, and the second type engaging mechanism detachably engages with the first type engaging mechanism positioned on an adjacent prick-up element.
