The invention relates to a warning device with temporary switching off of audio systems inside motor vehicles. According to the invention, the device uses a microphone (1) for taking over the traffic noise which is transmitted to a minicontroller (2) which analyzes the impulses frequency, intensity and play-back time and, in case it detects frequencies specific to emergency vehicle sirens emitted for a longer interval, it switches off the audio system (4) mounted inside the motor vehicle, using a switch (3), thereby warning the driver to initiate the necessary maneuvers for facilitating emergency vehicles transit; concomitantly and in parallel, the same minicontroller (2) controls the device as to emit an intermittent luminous warning signal, by means of a LED (6).
