The invention relates to an intelligent system for determining the profile of a driver. The system, as claimed by the invention, comprises a first subsystem installed on the vehicle and comprising a set of sensors (3) for collecting traffic data, video cameras (5), optical proximity sensors (6), microphones (7), radio proximity sensors (8), connected to a computing equipment (9) capable of processing information provided by the mentioned means in comparison with some reference data, the possible driver's misconduct being communicated to a server (2), representing the second subsystem of the claimed intelligent system, which comprises a monitored drivers data base (13) and a system (14) for analysis and assessment of the driver's profile.
