The invention relates to a method of quantification of healthy life years. According to the invention, the method comprises a stage of cataloguing a population in N categories, using criteria reflecting their health condition, a stage of graphic representation of their health condition evolution in time where, for each moment of time, the still living population is cumulatively represented while taking into account the N categories, by overlapping, as a histogram, and then, based on said data, the method also comprises a stage of evaluation of transition events from a health condition to another, each such transition being modelled as a Kaplan-Meier curve.
