The invention relates to an automated production line for cracking/re-cracking nuts in shell and removing nutshells, the line being used in the walnut processing field. According to the invention, the line consists of the following components: a. chamber for cracking nuts in shell comprising a group of 5 machines for cracking nuts, by groups of gauges ranging between 1 and 6 and a machine for re-cracking nuts in hard-to-crack shell, provided with a single motor and with chain transmission, the other 4 machines being provided each with 4 motors, the said machines enabling cracking the nuts according to various types of gauges depending on the various sizes of the nuts in shell, where the machine 1 has the gauge ranging between 25...26 mm, the machine 2 has a gauge of 26...27 mm, the machine 3 has the gauge ranging between 28...29 mm, the machine 4 has a gauge of 30...32 mm and the machine 5 has a gauge ranging between 33...35/36 mm and over 36 mm, while the re-cracking machine provides for the kernel extraction from the nutshells, the nuts being sorted by 6 sizes, so that the machines for cracking/re-cracking can perform nut cracking without damaging the kernel, b. belt carriers for the nuts with cracked shell and kernels, as the case may be, c. storage units for the nuts in shell, for the hard-to-crack nuts and for the resulted kernels, d. elevating belts for conveying the nuts in shell and the resulted kernels, e. sorting unit Sortex for separating the shells remained after sucking, which is taken out onto the reject belt while the kernel is taken over by the belt carriers, separated by types of 1/2 and 1/4 and packaged in boxes, f. units for suction of nut kernels, nuts in shell, feeding units which provide the feeding between the line components and the types selection units by selecting towards the belts of 1/2 and 1/4, respectively, and g. stainless steel tables used as work tables by the QC operators.
