ABSORPTION COOLING SYSTEM DRIVEN BY SOLAR ENERGY

The invention relates to an absorption cooling system operated by means of solar energy, which may be integrated into the air-conditioning systems of residential buildings and may be assisted by an auxiliary energy source using natural gas or electric power. According to the invention, the cooling system has a cooling capacity of 5 kW which is able to satisfy the comfort needs in the residential market, the heating medium which drives the absorption process being prepared by means of a solar collector (7), the heat exchangers with plates, a vapour generator (5), a vapourizer (1) and an economizer (2) and, in particular, the heat exchangers with mini grooves, an absorber (3) and a condenser (2) which make up the system, being compact, which essentially contributes to the reduced dimensions of the cooling machine, to the reduced amount of materials and cooling agent, hence to an increased cooling efficiency, as it is known that such heat exchangers are energy effective, as well.
