Expandable mixture for production of foamy glass with closed cells comprises per 100 kg of glass powder from waste glass with particle size 0.5 μm to 500 μm: 0.1 kg to 10 kg of water; 0.1 kg to 10 kg of foaming agent. The foaming agent is at least one alkaline earth metal carbonate, e.g. calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, barium carbonate and strontium carbonate having particle size 1 nm to 40 μm. The expandable mixture is obtained in such a way, that water is added with a foaming agent based on alkaline earth metal carbonates at common temperature. Eventually a liquid and/or solid anticlotting agent; water soluble additives as boric acid; water glass; glycerin; in advance mixed water glass with glycerin; carbon black; powder additives as silica or titanium oxide or powder aluminum components. The obtained water solution or water suspension is then added to glass powder from waste glass. After each adding of any component, stirring of the mixture is performed during 1 to 30 minutes, preferably during 1 to 5 minutes. The obtained homogenous water solution /water suspension is preferably subjected to ultrasound treatment with power 5 kW to 100 kW, preferably 50 kW to 80 kW during at least 2 minutes.
