A method for ground penetrating radar analysis of a scenario (200), having a surface (210), with respect to a Cartesian reference system S(x,y) having origin O(0,0) and axes x and y. The method comprises a step of prearranging a GPR apparatus that comprises at least one GPR sensor, a control unit, a centre of reference C(x c ,y c ) having coordinates x c and y c with respect to the Cartesian reference system S(x,y), at least one image acquisition devices (110,120), each image acquisition devices (110,120) having a pointing direction y j known with respect to the centre of reference C(x c ,y c ). The method comprises then the steps of handling the GPR apparatus on the surface and detecting possible underground objects by means of GPR technique. In particular, the step of handling comprises the steps of acquiring at least one front image I F of the scenario, each image comprising a plurality of pixels P i , localizing each pixel P i of each front image I F with respect to each pointing direction y j , said step of localization comprising a step of defining at least one couple of angles ϑ xι and ϑ yi for each pixel P i , processing, for each pixel p i , coordinates x i and y j with respect to the Cartesian reference system S(x,y), reconstructing a plan image I p of said scenario (200), said plan image I p comprising said plurality of pixels P i in said coordinates x i and y i .
