The electromotive drive, in particular an electronically commutated motor, acts on a drive shaft, and is configured to drive a tool spindle. The first housing has at least one first housing half shell, at least one first housing part configured to receive the electromotive drive, and a second housing part that forms a handle. The battery is configured as a power source for the portable power tool. A ratio of a diameter of the electromotive drive to a diameter of the second housing part is between 0.6 and 1.1, preferably between 0.7 and 0.8.
