Pair of guide members characterized in that at least one of its members is made of a steel containing carbon between 0.15 and 0.3% by weight, chromium between 2 and 3% by weight, at least one 0.45% by weight and a maximum of 0.9% by weight of molybdenum and vanadium in a proportion of more than 0.01% by weight and a maximum of 0.3%, optionally between 0.4% by weight and 1.5% by weight of manganese, not more than 0.48% of nickel and not more than 0.01% of aluminum and that this steel, nitrided after forming, includes a layer of combination between some atoms of iron and nitrogen with a thickness between 5 microns and 50 microns.
