A process for preparing the organic-metal framework, in which the at least one organic-metal framework comprises at least one bidentate organic compound coordinated with at least one metal ion, comprising steps a) preparation of a dry composition by means of mixture of at least one metal salt corresponding to the at least one metal ion and at least at least one bidentate organic compound or a salt thereof, in which the molar ratio of the at least one metal ion and the at least one organic compound bidentate is within the range of 10: 1 to 1:10; b) addition of a solvent to the dry composition of step a), in which the solvent comprises from 25 to 75% by volume of at least one alcohol and from 25 to 75% by volume of water, in that the actual amounts are based on the total volume of the solvent; and c) mixing the solvent-containing composition from step b) to obtain the organic-metal scaffold in homogeneous powder form, wherein the solvent-containing composition from step b) comprises from 30 to 80% by weight of the dry composition and 20 to 70% by weight of the solvent, wherein the actual amounts are based on the total weight of the solvent-containing composition.
