A measuring system for a down conductor (2) of a wind turbine blade (1) includes a measuring cable (11) connected in series with its first end (11a) to the down conductor (2). A second end (11b) of the measuring cable (11) is accessible for measurement of the electrical resistance in a lower base part (4) of the blade (1).
