The invention relates to a wind energy plant (2), a load distribution system and a method for erecting a tower (4) of a wind energy plant (2). The wind energy plant (2) comprises a tower (4) and a foundation (6), wherein the tower (4) has a lower connecting flange (12) with a number of openings, and wherein the foundation (6) comprises a number of connecting elements (14 ), which protrude from an upper side (16) of the foundation (6) and in the assembled state of the tower (4) at least some of the openings of the connecting flange (12) pass through. There is provided a load distribution system having a first load distribution ring (18) and a second load distribution ring (20). The connecting elements (14) pass through the load distribution rings (18, 20) in the assembled state of the tower (4).
