A method for validating blockchain transactions using a transaction processingnetwork includes: storing one or moreauthentication rules configured to authenticate an electronic transaction andone or more verification rules configured to verity ablockchain transaction; receiving a transaction message including a messagetype indicator and a plurality of data elements includingat least first data elements configured to store blockchain data andadditional data elements configured to store transaction data values;identifying an authentication score based on application of at least one ormore authentication rules to the transaction data values;identifying a verification score based on application of one or moreverification rules to the blockchain data; generating a datamessage, the data message including the blockchain data stored in the firstdata elements, the identified authentication score, and theidentified verification score; and electronically transmitting the generateddata message to a blockchain network.
