A System FIG. 1 comprised of a combination of four key components (Access Door1;Powered Cable Mechanism 3A with Attached Personal Evacuation Platforms 3B;Ventilated Enclosure 2; and Departure Chute 4) that, when activated byauthorizedpersonnel, provides for the ability to safely and rapidly evacuate people froma new orexisting high rise building in the event of a fire or emergency. The Systemwould beconfigured, as illustrated FIG. 1 on the exterior of the building and poweredby a powersource separate from the building. When activated/put into operation, afterthe accessdoor 1 opens, the evacuee would grasp a stabilizing handhold 18, step onto theslowlymoving/descending personal evacuation platform 3B; and be transported down totheground level departure chute 4 for final safe evacuation from the building.
