COMPOSITION CONTAINING RHIZOMA GALANGAE EXTRACT AND CHRYSANTHEMUM EXTRACT AND HAVING URIC ACID REDUCING FUNCTION AND APPLICATION THEREOF

Disclosed are a composition containing a rhizoma galangae extract and a chrysanthemum extract and having a uric acid reducing function and an application thereof. The rhizoma galangae extract is made of dry rhizoma galangae and is obtained by the combination of an ultrasound-assisted ethanol extraction method and a macroporous resin separation and enrichment method, and diphenylheptane and flavone compounds in the rhizoma galangae are extracted effectively. The chrysanthemum extract is made of dry Bo chrysanthemum, Qi chrysanthemum and Jinsihuang chrysanthemum by means of an ethanol refluxing extraction method, and flavone substances in the chrysanthemums are extracted effectively. The composition contains more than 30% of diphenylheptane compounds an more than 7% of flavone compounds, and has a remarkable uric acid reducing activity, and the in-vitro xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity is higher than 75μmol of allopurinol equivalent weight/g. The composition can be applied to health-care foods or medicines for the prevention and adjuvant therapy of hyperuricemia.
