A soil resistivity detection system for an agricultural implement includes arowunit having row unit components. The row unit components include a residuemanagement system configured to condition soil at a leading edge of the rowunit, anopening system configured to form a furrow in the soil, a closing assemblyconfigured toclose the furrow, and a press wheel assembly configured to compact the soil.The soilresistivity detection system also includes a control assembly configured tooutput anelectrical current to a first pair of the row unit components, receivevoltages from asecond pair of the row unit components, determine a voltage differential basedon thevoltages, and determine a soil resistivity based on the voltage differential.
